Home Based Supportive Care/Replacements
For our client's convenience we try to locate
the weekend replacements. Replacement personnel works only between Friday
and Sunday night. We need at least one week's notice to provide the weekend
relief.

Weekend Replacements: Complete team effort is necessary to make weekend
replacements affordable, successful and to avoid weekend tension.

It is customary for your
employee placed by ICONNEL. INC to contact our office one week in
advance and coordinate communication with the Power of Attorney (P.O.A.)
in your family about any time off requests.

Transportation for both the
replacement and the employee is usually the responsibility of the
employee to manage, and employees are clearly advised never to leave
prior to the arrival of the replacement.

Applicable family members or
the employee should provide guidance to the temporary replacement person
about any specific tasks regarding the job duty.

The routine described above
is repeated when the employee returns. Most importantly, this proven
process assures that the client is never left alone and all parties
involved can exchange the necessary information that helps to assist the
client properly.
Who are the candidates that
apply for weekend jobs:
Candidates who speak
“Good English” usually do not work on weekends. The job market is currently
favoring the supply side, and many workers are not looking for jobs that
require 7 day work weeks. This leaves us with candidates who have limited
English speaking abilities. Examples include:

Candidates who are watching
their own children or grandchildren at home during the week look for
employment on weekends to look for extra income. These candidates are
available on Friday afternoon between 5pm and 6pm when other family
members return from their regular day jobs.

Candidates who may not have
other family obligations, but need extra income.

Candidates who look for
permanent jobs and take weekend replacements to help their colleagues.
Drivers providing
transportation for replacements:

Drivers are usually the
family members and friends of your full time employees who usually do
this to help their family.
This policy has helped us in alleviating any tension related to the
arrangement of weekend replacements. While it is ultimately still your
decision as the employer to follow these general rules, we find this to
be the optimal way in ensuring successful transitions between your
employees.
